THE REGISTRATION BOARD

consists of one of the councillors from each electoral district together with the member appointed by the Minister of Education. Its statutory role is to grant registration to those applicants who satisfy the Board that they are competent to teach in the category or categories of their application. The Registration Board meets twice a year to consider applications for registration. In addition to evidence of qualifications the Board also requires applicants to give comprehensive details of their performing and teaching experience and competence including reports on lesson observations. Three Referee's statements are required. Special reports are sought for applicants seeking to become registered as teachers of Early Childhood Music.
